Fighting Blindness Canada (FBC) is the largest charitable funder of vision research in Canada. Over our 50-year history, FBC has contributed critical funding for the development of sight-saving treatments and cures for blinding eye diseases. ElderDog Canada Inc. is a registered, national charity dedicated to ageing people, ageing dogs, and the important connection they enjoy.   The organization is based in Nova Scotia with chapters in HRM.   Volunteers support seniors and their dogs with: (1) in-home support for those struggling with dog walking, feeding, helping take dogs to groomer or vet, help giving veterinary medications, etc; (2) securing temporary or forever homes for dogs in times of a senior's illness, hospitalization, or other life event, and (3) education to the broader community about the positive impacts of the senior-dog bond.
