The Blue Nose Marathon, known as ‘the people’s marathon’, is the signature event of Blue Nose. This event welcomes all ages, abilities and fitness levels traditionally occurring annually on Victoria Day weekend. Blue Nose Marathon is a community based and volunteer-driven organization.With the help of more than 1,000 volunteers, there are six running events (5KM, 10KM, half marathon, full marathon, marathon team relay, youth run-4KM and 2KM) taking place during the Victoria Day weekend every year. There is also an Active Living Expo that spans two days with more than 80 booths. The Giv’er Charity Challenge has grown to over 80 charities that collectively have raised more than $6,200,000.

The IWK Telethon LIVE Tribute Show is a special two-hour live broadcast on CTV! The show will feature some of the Maritimes’ best musical artists and include informal interviews with patient families, members of the IWK Health team, and IWK supporters on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The IWK Telethon for Children is the IWK Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser and supports the most urgent priorities of the IWK, including equipment, education, research and innovation. It broadcasts live on CTV on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is an opportunity to thank our donors and highlight how their support makes a difference.
