2b theatre company is a driving artistic voice, bringing innovative works of great ambition, rigour, care, and impact to the world stage. 2b theatre company strives to stimulate the mind and awaken the spirit by producing theatre that is innovative and challenging. We create, produce, present, and tour original work nationally and internationally. Our work is part of the evolution of contemporary theatre aesthetics. We are also an incubator, central to a thriving national theatre community, that offers a range of creation, performance, and production opportunities for arts professionals from our region and beyond.

The mission of AHANS is to promote access to decent and affordable housing through its development and construction, retention and upgrading in all parts of the Province. Decent, affordable and sustainable housing is a basic human right and the first step toward personal, social, economic and cultural well-being and empowerment. The foremost concern of the Affordable Housing Association of Nova Scotia (AHANS), is the affordability, accessibility, and sustainability of the Province's housing stock as a whole. AHANS aims for strategic impacts on all of Nova Scotia's housing: urban and rural; public, private and non-profit; from shelters to rental housing and private homes; and from new housing to the existing stock. We make the most of each opportunity by looking for ways to be broadly inclusive, multi-sectoral and multi-disciplinary. We are guided by the principles of 'Do No Harm' and the 'Double Bottom Line', believing that what's sufficient is never enough, knowing that beyond the basics greater benefits can always be found.

AFACS is a cultural society that strives to provide enabling environment that will encourage the promotion of African arts and culture for all people of African descent residing in Nova Scotia.

Alderney Landing promotes community and cultural programming and is recognized as a unique destination and venue for business, arts and entertainment in Nova Scotia. Alderney Landing exists to enhance the recreational and cultural life of the region. Alderney Landing's Guiding Principles That Alderney Landing be incorporated and run as a non profit society with an independent Board of Directors who represent a balance of the community's interests from business, government, cultural, educational, and recreational sectors. That Alderney Landing exists to enhance the recreational and cultural life of the region. That Alderney Landing be operated on the principle of accessibility and affordability to the community. While commercial activity is an integral part in some sectors of the operations of Alderney Landing, it is not the reason d'etre for its existence. That the commercial activity within the project is not intended to compete with but instead to complement the local business community. That Alderney Landing maintain a strong identification with downtown Dartmouth and be seen as a flagship for its rejuvenation.

Apathy is Boring is a national, youth-led organization that works to empower and support young people to get involved in their communities and cities.

The Exhibit Engagement Volunteer interacts in a positive manner with visitors to the Army Museum while monitoring the museum and its exhibits. The Volunteer is expected to greet visitors inside the museum with a brief explanation of the layout of the museum. They are responsible for: - enhancing visitor experience - assisting visitors with any questions - assisting with interactive exhibits within the museum - for maintain a safe and inviting environment for visitors - daily upkeep of exhibit spaces to ensure high quality experience for visitors The Exhibit Engagement Volunteer provides information about the exhibits and Nova Scotia’s participation in army mission throughout the 20 th and 21 st centuries.

The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia is an agency of the Province of Nova Scotia. Its mandate is to develop a collection, exhibition program, and public program that brings Nova Scotians and visitors in contact with contemporary and historic art that is associated with the province while also introducing art from across the region, the country, and other nations and cultures.

A group of citizens from across Bridgewater and the Municipality of Lunenburg have come together to create a thriving community art space in Bridgewater. After being inspired by the 'Art Hive' movement in Montreal a group of motivated and enthusiastic community members gathered for a few months in the spring/summer of 2014 to talk and vision around the idea of a free/low cost community space focused on creativity for people of all ages and backgrounds. The Bridgewater Public Library moved onto the LCLC and the downtown core has been really missing a community space for people to come together, meet the neighbours and share with each other. The Bridgewater Development Association has been instrumental in helping gather people and support this initiative. The BDA recently identified a need to support and encourage the growth of Arts & Culture in the Bridgewater area. This project has been a result of establishing their Arts and Culture Action Team. We are excited that this space will be FOR and BY the community. Knitters, musicians, crafters, artisans, painters and any type of creativity you can imagine will be welcomed. Supplies are provided but encourage others to bring and share as well! The calendar of events will be based on what the community wants to see happen. Open Mics, Workshops, Drinkin' Coffee, come explore the possibilities with us, because they are endless! We need help from the community to volunteer their time so we can be open as much as possible. The Association of Volunteer Management Professionals Nova Scotia (VMPNS) is a provincial association for professionals and leaders working in the field of volunteer resource management. We promote competence and excellence in the leadership of volunteers by fostering collaboration and networking, promoting professional development and certification, and offering mentorship and knowledge exchange. We are committed to providing advocacy to advance and strengthen the volunteer management profession in Nova Scotia.

About The Atlantic Book Awards Society (ABAS) is a registered non-profit organization with the mandate “to promote and acknowledge excellence in Atlantic Canadian writing and book publishing through an annual awards ceremony and related events.” Currently based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the board of the Atlantic Book Awards Society is committed to being a truly regional organization with representation from all four Atlantic provinces

We, at Atlantic Kite Festivals believe in bringing communities together by celebrating festivals. Our journey started in year 2013 where few of the friends started celebrating various events based on major festivals in South East Asia. By looking at participation from local communities we kept adding more and more events in our catalogue. One Day, Few kids came to our event, Halifax Colour Festival with kites and that’s where idea came from to start Kite Festivals in Atlantic Region. The plan was long due and we did our first ever Kite Festival at Citadel Hill in 2017. And in the same year we did another kite festival at Rissers Beach with Sand castle competition. After these two successful events and reviews from participants, we decided to start doing more festivals like this in Atlantic Canada. In 2019, we have planned four Kite Festivals in Nova Scotia in partnership with various municipalities and sand castle competitions. And also we will be doing our own Kite Festival at Citadel Hill which we have made an annual event which will occur in Every Second week of July. We, at Atlantic Kite Festival love to see smiles on kids faces when they see these huge kites in the air. It’s even fun to fly.
