ISANS is a non-profit organization empowering immigrants and refugees to build their futures in Nova Scotia. With over 45 years of experience, we support more than 14,500 newcomers from 170+ countries each year as Atlantic Canada’s leading settlement agency. We offer a wide range of services, including language services, settlement support for families and children, employment programs, business development, community integration, and pre-arrival services, delivered in person and online in English and 46+ other languages. ISANS is also committed to supporting Canada’s Francophone Integration Pathway and champions diversity, accessibility, and support for equity-deserving communities.

We are a non-profit community organization, governed by military family members, that works in partnership with military families, the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), and Military Family Services (MFS) to deliver programs and services to children, youth, adults and families.

BullyingCanada Founded in 2006 we are Canada's premier anti-bullying national organization. Our team of more than 350 highly trained volunteers  respond 7 days a week, 24 hours by phone or text. BullyingCanada supplies support and intervention to prevent and stop bullying. We give bullied kids a brighter future.

Todd Hill Farm is a non-profit horse farm located in Oakfield, Halifax County.  Our mission is to “To provide a family-oriented equestrian facility where students can gain a solid foundation in horsemanship, riding and horse care” We offer riding lessons, beginner programs, equine first aid lectures, equestrian certification and equine assisted learning programs. We are members of the Nova Scotia Equestrian Federation, Equestrian Canada and EAL Canada.  We have been in operation since 2010.

Good Neighbour Builders is a Canadian non-profit helping communities become places where neighbours know, care about, and support one another. Through the Good Neighbour Method, we train and support community leaders to build trust, belonging, inclusion, and connection in everyday neighbourhoods. Our work helps ordinary people create stronger, healthier, and more caring communities across Canada.

Our mission is to cultivate scientific imagination, curiosity, and leadership abilities of youths, especially Inner City, Rural, and Indigenous populations in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) by providing hands-on learning, mentorship, and networking.

The Canada CyberSTEAM Challenge (C3) is a national online competition aimed to encourage students in grades six through twelve to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems involving science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. Our Mission Statements The Canada CyberSTEAM Challenge was founded on the following 2 Mission Statements: #1: Universal Accessibility C3 aims to provide youth from rural or underprivileged communities with academic enrichment opportunities that they would not otherwise have access to. #2: Global Connection C3 aims to create an international community of youth united in their passion for science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.

Ocean View is a charitable organization that has been operating since the early 1960’s. We are pleased to be a trusted provider of a variety of services, predominately for seniors and others folks that need a little extra help in day to day living. Ocean View operates the very first nursing home in Nova Scotia to be granted “Accreditation” by Accreditation Canada in 1974, a standard of excellence that we still celebrate and achieve to this day. Between in care living and community supports, we proudly serve over 500 individuals each year through our 320+ staff and 100+ volunteers. Our vision is to be the “community of choice” for Nova Scotians needing support in a place they call home.

Ocean View is a 171-bed long term care home overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia.  Our vibrant community has over 20 local shops and restaurants, creating a dynamic and engaging environment for both staff and residents. Your work at Ocean View will be meaningful as a part of our diverse team includes professionals from nursing, clinical dietetics, physiotherapy, recreation therapy, music and spiritual care, occupational therapy, long-term care assistants, and an active volunteer program. We also take pride in our volunteer-run on-site café, offering lunch, snacks, and coffee and everyone loves our free parking! Ocean View relies on the passion and dedication of amazing volunteers to ensure our residents can live well in the place they call home. The volunteen program first began at Ocean View Continuing Care in 1995 and since inception over 500 youth have participated. Our volunteen program is a great way for teens to earn volunteer hours, build confident, make friends, and bring joy to others. Some of the opportunities available are: Recreation: Supporting residents in attending activities such as bingo, music, outings, special events, etc. Cafe: Assisting with sales, replenishing shelves, chat with residents, family, and staff Gardening: Providing assistance with indoor and outdoor plant/flower upkeep Friendly Visiting: Visiting and spending time with Residents, walks, reading, playing cards, etc. Spiritual Care: Providing encouragement and portering support to church services and weekly hymn sing. The Eastern Passage Food Security Society is a community-driven non-profit dedicated to ensuring equitable access to nutritious food. We focus on building sustainable, intergenerational connections through initiatives like our community fridge, mobile food security unit, and accessible gardening projects. By bringing together youth and seniors—particularly through the creation of four-season growing spaces—we aim to strengthen local food systems and foster a supportive, inclusive community for all residents.
