THE DARTMOUTH MAKERS ARE A NON-PROFIT, VOLUNTEER-DRIVEN SOCIETY OF ARTISTS AND CRAFTS PEOPLE. OUR VISION IS TO CREATE A VIBRANT DOWNTOWN DARTMOUTH ARTS COMMUNITY BY CREATING OPPORTUNITIES TO SHOWCASE QUALITY WORK AND PROMOTE LOCAL TALENTS. ORIGINALLY FOUNDED IN 2014, OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE AFFORDABLE CRAFT SHOWS WHERE ARTISTS, CRAFTERS AND MAKERS CAN MARKET AND SELL THEIR WORK.
United Way Halifax is a local impact organization that alleviates and reduces local poverty. We are trusted by donors, communities, organizations, and governments for our ability to achieve lasting change. Our knowledge about community gaps and needs informs what we do. Our core values of respect, trust, collaboration, compassion, equity, and adaptability guide how we do it. And donations from individuals, families and organizations makes our progress and impact possible.
The work and programs of the Church of Saint Mary Magdalene and its non-profit initiative Halifax Wedding Chapel serves the community at large. We provide worship services and places to worship and fellowship. We offer the Sacraments to all people. We support families, couples, individuals and groups with pastoral and spiritual care. We initiate non-sectarian community programs in order to make a difference in lives and spur acts of mercy, kindness and compassion. We support cultural and artistic programs that build community and bring joy to children, families and the elderly in the community at large.
Alexandra Children's Centre is a non for profit childcare Centre with over 50 years of providing quality childcare in the North End of Halifax .
Our Centre is a charitable organization , we have a dedicated full time teaching team of Early Childhood Educators who take pride in the work they do enriching the lives of children aged 10 months to 5 years providing a fully emergent based program which follows the guidelines put into place for Early Childhood in the province of Nova Scotia .
We fully take pride in knowing we have made a difference and have impacted many children's lives as well as the families who have come through our doors over the years .
We represent & support the Early Childhood Educator profession in Nova Scotia.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Atlantic Canada is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals affected by blood cancers in the Atlantic Canada region.
Committed to their mission of curing leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma while also providing support to patients and their families, the organization conducts research, raises awareness, and offers various services. They collaborate with healthcare professionals, researchers, volunteers, and donors to fund innovative research, advocate for better treatments and access to care, and provide educational resources and support programs for patients navigating their cancer journey. Through fundraising events, community outreach, and support initiatives, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Atlantic Canada strives to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those impacted by blood cancers in the region.
The Halifax Triathlon Club (HTC) is a swim-bike-run club for ALL levels. Whether you want to train for your first try-a-tri, sprint, olympic or 15th long distance triathlon, the HTC welcomes all who are interested in swim-bike-run

We advocate for all persons impacted by epilepsy. We provide educational sessions in schools and to employers, individual assistance, and courses. We also provide scholarships to our members. And we hold an amazing Gala every year. We are a small group and we appreciate those who lend a hand.
The Saint Mary's University Human Research Ethics Board reviews and provides clearance for research involving human participants under the jurisdiction of Saint Mary's University and NSCAD University as well as serves as the appeals Board for Mount Saint Vincent University; as determined by the federal Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans, (TCPS 2, 2022).
Family SOS is a local non-profit, child-centered organization that helps build strong and healthy families. As an inclusive family support agency offering FREE comprehensive programs that benefit all family members, Family SOS works to help children and youth in need by offering free support services in the community.
