Waypoint Centre for Self-Directed Learning is an educational alternative to school for people ages 12-19, located in Halifax, NS. We believe that every young person wants to learn and deserves an environment that:

- evolves at the pace of the individual
- is tailored to the person's strengths and challenges
- is trusting and supportive, not coercive
Waypoint replicates an organizational model that has been successful in offering a transformational educational experience to young people who need something different than the traditional school setting. We use homeschooling as a legal mechanism to help kids leave unproductive school situations and craft their own personalized life of learning.

Welcome Housing & Support Services is a non-profit, charitable organization that provides long term, secure housing and support to low income, single individuals. Formerly known as Metro Non-Profit Housing Association, we have a long-standing and recognized commitment to the community we serve.
Not only do we support men and women obtain and maintain stable housing solutions, we also serve as advocates for social issues effecting our community (including safe, affordable housing and poverty-related issues).

Wellness Wags Assistance Dogs is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities through expertly trained service dogs. Our mission is to provide life-changing assistance dogs free of charge to Nova Scotians, empowering independence, safety, and emotional well-being.
We offer:
- autism service dogs for children
- mobility service dogs for individuals with physical disabilities
- facility dogs that support vulnerable communities in hospitals, courts, and other public service settings
Through our programs, we strive to create inclusive communities, educate the public about the role of service dogs, and foster meaningful connections between people and dogs that enrich lives for both.
