As a kitchen volunteer at Loaded Ladle, you will help us prepare meals and serve them to the community! Our kitchen is located on Dalhousie Campus, but anyone can access our meals for free! No cooking or kitchen experience required! Phin Performing Arts is looking for compassionate volunteers to support our Dance to Move program - dance classes for people living with Parkinson’s. The class comprises people with Parkinson’s of all ages and mobility along with their care partners. The role of the volunteer is to do the class with the participants, providing light support to folks who need an assit for sit-to-stand, someone nearby or on their arm for balance, or other support for the class (details to be provided by the instructor each week). We rely on volunteers to help get food onto the tables of those in Halifax who are unable to prepare nutritious meals for themselves.Do you have 2-3 hours per week to help us in our mission? We are looking for drivers and runners on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday mornings for deliveries. Choose a weekly route, or substitute on an on call basis.You can even try us on by accompanying an experienced team on a run before you start.
