About the volunteer role
- You assist the instructor in our computer lab. You are not
- required to teach the class. You do not have to be a computer
- expert. Our clients need a patient coach to assist as needed
- while they attend ISANS computer courses in the computer
- lab.
- Be available to volunteer during course times
- Be on time
- Be a good communicator
- Show enthusiasm, flexibility, and a desire to listen, talk, and learn with clients is
- important
Primary Duties
- Assist instructor with computer skills: for example, in class exercises,
- assignments, projects
- Assist the instructor with handing out books, exercises, assignments, and copying
- from USBs
- Work independently and alongside clients in providing computer assistance
- ranging from beginners to intermediate computer skills learners.
Additional Information
- Time commitment: 2 hours a day
- Duration: Flexible depending on course duration
- Requirements: Proficient computer skills; CLB 6+
- In-Person at ISANS Mumford office
