Opportunity Description

Canada Connects is a program that matches newcomer families or individuals

with long-time Canadians or settled immigrants to help them settle and adjust

to their new home.

Join Canada Connects

• Be matched with a newcomer individual or family to provide support throughout the

program

• Meet with your match once a week for approximately 2 hours, with a commitment of 3

months to 1 year

• Share your knowledge, build meaningful connections, and help newcomers settle into

life in Canada

• Join a network of dedicated volunteers and connect with others making a difference

Eligibility:

Volunteers must demonstrate English proficiency above CLB 4 and have lived in Nova Scotia

for a minimum of 18 months. A second language is an asset.
