FIN Atlantic International Film Festival has blossomed into one of Canada’s premier celebrations of film and filmmaking, becoming an essential platform for films both local and global. Celebrating its 42nd year in 2022, the festival began as a tiny, grassroots operation in St. John’s, Newfoundland in 1981, relocating to Halifax the following year. Providing an immersive escape and experience for movie lovers, filmmakers, and industry professionals worldwide, the Atlantic International Film Festival is Atlantic Canada’s curator of epic and unforgettable stories.

About Us Our mission is to feed Nova Scotians in need and reduce that need. To achieve this, we distribute 2 million kilograms of donated food to our member network of 147 food banks and meal programs across the province. But our role also extends beyond food. We support our members as they build capacity to serve their communities, and we help raise awareness of the challenges hunger and poverty create each day for thousands of Nova Scotians.

Excalibur ADHD Association offers programs to people with ADHD in Nova Scotia.  We have several support groups, some accessible through Skype.  We offer Parent Menagement Training, Saturday and Summer Camps for children 6-12 years old, and our Working Memory Program.  Members of our Association have access to our book and on-line libraries.  Some programs cost less to members.

We advocate for all persons impacted by epilepsy.  We provide educational sessions in schools and to employers, individual assistance, and courses.  We also provide scholarships to our members.  And we hold an amazing Gala every year.  We are a small group and we appreciate those who lend a hand.

Founded in 1994, the Environmental Services Association Maritimes (ESAM) has been operating for over 20 years as a not-for-profit business organization dedicated to the promotion of environmental products, services and organizations within the environmental industry. Our Board brings a diverse skill set to ESAM, with representation from the Federal Government, academia, the consulting industry, and even business owners.  The breadth of experience is impressive and includes expertise in the fields of environmental assessment, fisheries and wildlife, hazardous materials, site assessment, remediation, and research and development. ElderDog Canada Inc. is a registered, national charity dedicated to ageing people, ageing dogs, and the important connection they enjoy.   The organization is based in Nova Scotia with chapters in HRM.   Volunteers support seniors and their dogs with: (1) in-home support for those struggling with dog walking, feeding, helping take dogs to groomer or vet, help giving veterinary medications, etc; (2) securing temporary or forever homes for dogs in times of a senior's illness, hospitalization, or other life event, and (3) education to the broader community about the positive impacts of the senior-dog bond.

Ekko Performing Arts Society (EPAS) is a registered non-profit organization based in Downtown Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, dedicated to breaking down barriers that limit access to performing arts in our community. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the joy, creativity, and connection that come through the performing arts, regardless of age, background, experience, or financial circumstances.
