Opportunity Description
The Westend Community Food Bank is looking for individuals interested in serving on our Board of Directors. Of particular interest would be someone willing to form relationships with community organizations for the purpose of obtaining donations of non-food products. We meet 10 times a year in a Board member's home in Dartmouth and also via Zoom if appropriate. We usually meet on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 until 8:30.
We are a very hands-on Board that gives strategic direction but also helps resolve day to day issues that the Food Bank Manager or Food Bank Administrator need assistance with.
If you are interested in being involved in a very active organization that helps food insecure clients each and every week, we are interested in hearing from you.

The Westend Community Food Bank is a volunteer operated food bank. We are located on 3495 McAlpine Street, in the neighbourhood between the Fairview Cemetery and the West End Mall in Halifax. We are open on Thursday mornings from 8:30 until noon and have between 70 and 90 clients who we distribute food to each week.
