The Brain Injury Association of Nova Scotia (BIANS) is currently seeking 3–4 new volunteer members to join our Board of Directors.BIANS is a registered charitable organization that has supported individuals and families affected by acquired brain injury (ABI) since 1989. We work across Nova Scotia to strengthen connection, support, and understanding for people living with brain injury and their caregivers, while helping communities and systems respond more effectively.We are looking for individuals who are interested in community impact, governance, and supporting people and families affected by brain injury. We welcome individuals with a range of professional and lived experiences, including expertise in areas such as:Finance and accountingFundraising and philanthropyGovernance and nonprofit leadershipHuman resourcesCommunications and marketingLegal or business experienceAcquired brain injury, disability, caregiving, or community servicesBoard CommitmentBoard members serve a two-year renewable term and are expected to participate in approximately nine board meetings per year, with most meetings held virtually. The estimated commitment is approximately 2–5 hours per month, depending on board and committee involvement.This is a volunteer position. The SICC Mobile Toy Library is a community-led initiative bringing educational toys and learning resources directly to Halifax families through vibrant pop-up events. We are growing and looking for passionate volunteers! Join us to help organize local pop-ups, facilitate community toy swaps, lead creative cardboard castle building workshops, and breathe new life into items at our toy repair stations. By getting involved today, you will help lay the groundwork for our ultimate goal: launching a mobile toy library in Halifax. We need volunteers to fill various roles. In particular, we are looking for a driver who can help pick up toys and deliver them to and from Clayton Park and Spryfield once a month.**Starting from Oct 10, we shall run a toy library event on every second Saturday afternoon (4pm-5pm) at Captain William Spry Community Centre.**Volunteer Application Form:https://tally.so/r/Ek8P54
