Opportunity Description

We are looking for volunteers to help us at our upcoming event, Drop Zone Halifax. On August 11th nearly 50 brave people who have raised a minimum of $1500 will step to the edge of 1801 Hollis Street and rappel down 23 story's in support of people living with disabilities across the province. This will be our 21st year hosting Drop Zone in Halifax! we are in need of friendly, confident, active individuals who can take on one of the following roles:

  • work the ropes as ground belay assistance (rope experience is an asset but not required)
  • gear up rappelers and help them practice on our training wall before heading to the roof (rope experience is an asset but not required)
  • participant escort
  • harness release and celebration crew at the base of the rappel
