Karate Canada National Championships 2018

Organization: Karate Nova Scotia
Category: Sports and Recreation
Description: Thanks to a great deal of work by KNS, Karate Canada has offered us the opportunity to host the 2018 National Karate Championships, right here in Halifax. It has been over a decade since “Team Nova Scotia” has had the opportunity to perform before its home town crowd. To host an event of this magnitude will certainly raise the excitement and interest in our sport throughout all of Atlantic Canada. With the total support of New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland – all four provinces are looking forward to the rewards that come with hosting the National Championships on the East Coast of Canada. With over 500 Athletes, 80 Officials, 50 Coaches, and close to 100 Volunteers – Halifax will be the centre for Karate in Atlantic Canada once again – bringing Friends and Family from all over the Country to attend this National Event for 2018. The National Championship Tournament is the stepping stone – and a major selection event – for choosing the “Team Canada” members that will represent our country – at events such as the Pan American and World Championships. Numerous Nova Scotians have had this opportunity in the past, but it will mean so much to see this happen right here in our own province, before a home town crowd. The Athletes that compete at this level have a limited window in which to perform as Canada’s best, in relation to the entire country. It will be especially nice to have these athletes do their very best, and get recognized for their accomplishments, right here at home – with the rest of Nova Scotia looking on. Please follow the URL below to volunteer at this great event! http://karatens.org/2018-karate-canada-national-championships/
