Results is an advocacy nonprofit that believes in mobilizing everyday people (our volunteers) to generate the political will to end extreme poverty in low-and middle-income countries. We focus our work on global health, access to quality education and economic opportunities. We direct our energy and efforts at government decision makers like party leaders, Members of Parliament and senators because they have the power to improve policies and make the monetary investments needed to end extreme poverty. We also raise awareness by writing letters to the editor (LTEs) and op-eds, using social media, fundraising and more. Oftentimes the first step is putting these issues on the radar — and keeping the pressure on. It might seem like a small step, but it all adds up into impact. commitment: 1 year minimum, 1-2 hours per week on average support structure: Volunteers (virtually) meet in local groups on a monthly basis and rely on their group leader(s) for guidance. Attending other virtual calls and webinars led by Results staff is recommended. If you’re ready to learn about advocacy, causes and solutions to extreme poverty and committed to taking action every month, join us!

Help us fund the fundraising system that will help Good Neighbour Builders grow across CanadaGood Neighbour Builders is a non-profit working to make it normal again for neighbours to know, care about, and support one another.Through the Good Neighbour Method, we train and support citizens and community leaders to build stronger, more connected neighbourhoods - places where people feel a deeper sense of belonging, wellbeing, and shared responsibility for one another. We are now at an important stage of growth. Grants have helped us get started, but they are not reliable enough to support the scale of our work. To grow sustainably, we need to build a professional fundraising system. That is why we are launching a fundraising campaign to raise the funds needed to hire a fractional professional fundraiser. This paid fundraising professional will help us build the systems, donor relationships, and long-term funding strategy required to bring the Good Neighbour Method to more communities across Canada. We are looking for a volunteer Fundraising Campaign Lead to help guide this campaign from the inside. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has experience with fundraising campaigns, donor engagement, sponsorship, major gifts, grants, non-profit development, or campaign coordination — and who wants to help us turn the work already started into a successful campaign. What you’ll help leadYou will help Good Neighbour Builders move the current fundraising campaign from planning into action. This may include:Helping shape the campaign strategy, timeline, and prioritiesReviewing and strengthening the fundraising askIdentifying and prioritizing prospective donors, partners, and supportersSupporting outreach to individual donors, foundations, businesses, and community partnersHelping prepare Barry, board members, and other volunteers for donor conversationsCoordinating follow-up after donor meetingsTracking campaign progress, contacts, asks, and next stepsWorking with the marketing and communications team to make sure campaign messaging is clear and consistentHelping prepare the organization to work effectively with the paid fractional fundraiser once hiredYou would not be starting from scratch. A draft campaign concept, campaign title, one-pager, landing page direction, and supporting materials have already been developed. The campaign is currently framed around “Be a Builder / Let’s Make Good Neighbours”, with the goal of showing both the impact of the Good Neighbour Method and the importance of building sustainable fundraising capacity. What we’re looking forYou may be a great fit if you:Have worked on a fundraising campaign before, either as a volunteer, staff member, board member, consultant, or campaign supporterUnderstand donor relationships and how to move people from interest to contributionAre comfortable helping shape a clear fundraising askCan bring structure, follow-through, and momentum to a volunteer-led campaignAre willing to work collaboratively with board members, volunteers, and future paid fundraising supportBelieve that stronger neighbourhood relationships are essential to individual and community wellbeingYou do not need to be a full-time professional fundraiser, but you should bring enough fundraising experience to help us avoid common mistakes, focus our efforts, and move with confidence.Time commitmentWe are hoping for someone who can support the campaign through its active launch period, beginning in May.Estimated commitment: 3–5 hours per week for the first 8–12 weeks, with the possibility of continuing in a lighter advisory or coordination role once the paid fractional fundraiser is in place. Why this role mattersThis role is not just about helping us run one campaign. It is about helping Good Neighbour Builders build the fundraising foundation needed to reach more communities, train more Builders, support more Neighbour Connectors, and help more people experience belonging and support where they live.Funders need to see a clear mission, visible activity, credible stories, and evidence of impact. This campaign is a chance to bring those pieces together and invite people to help us grow the work in a sustainable way.Interested? If you have fundraising experience and want to help build the foundation for a national movement of good neighbours, we would love to hear from you.Help us become great fundraisers — so we can help more Canadians become good neighbours.
