Every year, the Valley Harvest Marathon is made possible by the generosity of hundreds of volunteers. We have dedicated groups who help year after year, including ICE Cheerleading, the Shriners, Kingsport Fitness and Wellness, Triton Swim, Horton D1 Girls Volleyball, and many individuals who make this event possible. To all of our incredible volunteers over the years, thank you! This year, we have lots of volunteers needs. If you have some free time on race weekend or leading up to, we would appreciate your help! Our volunteer needs include: - Participant kit assembly - Kit Pick Up at Dartmouth and Wolfville locations - Site set up and support for all races - Course marshalling - Cycle support - Food services - Medal presenting - And more! The Halifax Cycling Coalition is seeking new members for the Board of Directors. The Board meets one evening per month to oversee the organization and make key decisions. Board members are also encouraged to volunteer at approximately six events per year as part of our community outreach. There is no specific skillset required, anyone who is interested in promoting and supporting cycling is encouraged to apply for a position on the board.experience in fundraising and public communications would be helpful.
