About the volunteer role

  • You assist the instructor in our computer lab. You are not
  • required to teach the class. You do not have to be a computer
  • expert. Our clients need a patient coach to assist as needed
  • while they attend ISANS computer courses in the computer
  • lab.
  • Be available to volunteer during course times
  • Be on time
  • Be a good communicator
  • Show enthusiasm, flexibility, and a desire to listen, talk, and learn with clients is
  • important

Primary Duties

  • Assist instructor with computer skills: for example, in class exercises,
  • assignments, projects
  • Assist the instructor with handing out books, exercises, assignments, and copying
  • from USBs
  • Work independently and alongside clients in providing computer assistance
  • ranging from beginners to intermediate computer skills learners.

Additional Information

  • Time commitment: 2 hours a day
  • Duration: Flexible depending on course duration
  • Requirements: Proficient computer skills; CLB 6+
  • In-Person at ISANS Mumford office
