Graphic Designer

Description: Role Description: The graphic designer will be responsible for creating graphics to be used in articles, social media posts, and newslines. Graphics will largely be compiled using CanvaPro and the graphic designers will use this platform to creatively and artistically design attractive images to complement our content. Description: This program is an opportunity for you to gain leadership skills, run a project of your choosing, receive valuable experience for post-secondary applications, or get volunteer hours. This is open for youths, ages 15-29 years old. Here’s what you will do:  Identify a need/issue in your community and organize a project that will address that need/issue. You will also receive a grant of up to $500 (or more, depending on your project details) to fund your project. You can run a basketball tournament to bring youth together and promote physical exercise, you can host a video game night to help others destress, you can start a community library box to encourage reading, or you can do just about anything else you think of. *Check out this website to see more awesome community projects that you can do! (www.youthfund.ca/ideas) Learn from different workshops and 1-on-1 coaching to help you plan your project and gain useful skills (e.g. project planning, budgeting, etc.). Information Booth Operator

Description: The Canada CyberSTEAM Challenge is a national online competition geared towards high school and junior high students that is focused on the creative application of science, technology, engineering, arts and math in real-life scenarios. Join our team of volunteers from all across Canada! The Executive of Logistics are responsible to work as a team to plan and schedule all aspects of the Canada CyberSTEAM Challenge competition day, as well as for all communications with participant families. The ideal volunteer should be organized, willing to work in a team. Volunteer perks include reference letters, the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals across Canada, and various opportunities to appear on television! (C3 and some of our volunteers have been featured on CTV, CBC, and Global News) The role is remote with a flexible schedule.
