Information Booth Operator

Description: Provide guidance and information to the public and vendors. Sell t-shirts and fundraising bags. Encourage the public to complete survey and "passport" hunt for chances to win 1 of 4 gift baskets. Collect litter when needed. There is seating available so that you can enjoy the festival at the same time!

Set Up and Take Down Technician

Description: First shift - Help set up chairs and organize tent. Must be able to lift 20 lbs. Help maintain aesthtic of chairs and account for them throughout shift. [VIRTUAL] USE $500 TO CREATE YOUR OWN VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

Organization: Youth Empowering Parents

Description: This program is an opportunity for you to gain leadership skills, run a project of your choosing, receive valuable experience for post-secondary applications, or get volunteer hours. This is open for youths, ages 15-30 years old. Here’s what you will do:  Identify a need/issue in your community and organize a project that will address that need/issue. You will also receive a grant of up to $500 (or more, depending on your project details) to fund your project. You can run a basketball tournament to bring youth together and promote physical exercise, you can host a video game night to help others destress, you can start a community library box to encourage reading, or you can do just about anything else you can think of. (www.youthfund.ca/ideas) Learn from different workshops and 1-on-1 coaching to help you plan your project and gain useful skills (e.g. project planning, budgeting, etc.).
