Royal City Soccer Club 2023
The Royal City Soccer Club (RCSC) is a non-profit community organization founded in 1993. For over 33 years, we have offered a fun and engaging summer soccer day camp experience for more than 300,000 children aged 5 to 13 across Canada. We are proud to be Canada’s #1 grassroots soccer camp, running in over 100 locations across seven provinces (Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia). Our success is built on the enthusiasm and dedication of our amazing volunteers and staff who help make each summer unforgettable. Our 2025 camps run Monday to Friday, from June 29 to September 4, 2026 (excluding July 1 and August 3). About the position: As a Camp Volunteer, you’ll play a key role in creating a safe, active, and positive camp environment. Volunteers can select from the following session options: · Morning session: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (15 hours/week) · Afternoon session: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (15 hours/week) · Full-day session: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (35 hours/week) Volunteers may assist with a variety of tasks, including: · Supporting staff in coaching and supervising children · Helping organize and maintain soccer equipment · Assisting with setup, cleanup, and general camp operations · Ensuring a safe, clean, and inclusive environment for all campers · Encouraging teamwork, sportsmanship, and fun! Qualities we are looking for: · Passionate about soccer, sports, and working with children · Positive, energetic, and enthusiastic team players · Responsible, reliable, and eager to learn · Committed to helping campers have a memorable summer experience Eligibility: The eligibility criteria are: · Volunteers must be at least 14 years old by the start of their volunteer week. · Those aged 16+ may also be eligible for a Counsellor-in-Training (CIT) or Camp Counsellor position. · Volunteers aged 18 or older must submit a Police Background Check. · Volunteer spots are limited at each location—early applications are encouraged! Every year, the Valley Harvest Marathon is made possible by the generosity of hundreds of volunteers. We have dedicated groups who help year after year, including ICE Cheerleading, the Shriners, Kingsport Fitness and Wellness, Triton Swim, Horton D1 Girls Volleyball, and many individuals who make this event possible. To all of our incredible volunteers over the years, thank you! This year, we have lots of volunteers needs. If you have some free time on race weekend or leading up to, we would appreciate your help! Our volunteer needs include: - Participant kit assembly - Kit Pick Up at Dartmouth and Wolfville locations - Site set up and support for all races - Course marshalling - Cycle support - Food services - Medal presenting - And more!
