The Social Marketplace Society promotes social spending.

Social spending is making a purchase ensuring the greatest possible amount of that money stays in your local community.

To promote social spending the Social Marketplace Society funds and organizes Our Social Market. Our Social Market is a monthly event inviting fundraisers to promote their cause and raise funds. Square Roots (Enactus, St. Mary’s University) provides vegetable bundles for sale every month, there is a canteen, music, even a place to sit a spell. All tables are free. Admission is free.

Our fundraisers currently include:

-Truckload Rain Barrel campaign.

-My Social Market table at every market with a collection of donated crafts and other items; currently featuring “peace” inspired suncatchers by donation.

-My Smart Art Workbook series designed for children AND adults alike to do individually or as a group.
