Open Harbour (Communications Coordinator)

The Communications Coordinator will provide guidance and leadership to the communications committee in conjunction with OHRA co-chairs and policies. – Oversee and coordinate communications and ensure that all tasks are completed in time to meet the needs of the group. – Collaborate with the Fundraising Coordinator and Co-Chairs to develop a communications strategy and action plan; – Act as OHRA’s media contact when organizations reach out to OHRA. Can delegate this responsibility as required; – Coordinate press releases and media appearances; – Ensure that social media, crowdfunding, newsletter, literature, and website have up to date information; – Describe to any new committee members their responsibilities as outlined in the Communications Committee responsibilities; – Coordinate getting relevant receipts in a timely manner to Treasurer for reimbursement; – Give a verbal update on communications at each board meeting; – Agree to accept this position for a two year term.   If you’re interested please reach out to volunteer@openharbour.ca and tell me a little about yourself and why you feel you’d be a good fit for the position.
