As a Summer Camp Counsellor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and fun environment for children. As a kitchen volunteer at Loaded Ladle, you will help us prepare meals and serve them to the community! Our kitchen is located on Dalhousie Campus, but anyone can access our meals for free! No cooking or kitchen experience required! The Canoe '26 Society is seeking event volunteers as we prepare to welcome the world to Dartmouth this summer on Lake Banook from July 1–5 for the U23 and Junior World Championships, and from June 25–28 for the Masters World Championships. These events are a celebration of modern sport, community, and the ancestral lands and traditions of indigenous people whose lands we reside on. Currently, we are recruiting for the following roles. Phin Performing Arts is looking for compassionate volunteers to support our Dance to Move program - dance classes for people living with Parkinson’s. The class comprises people with Parkinson’s of all ages and mobility along with their care partners. The role of the volunteer is to do the class with the participants, providing light support to folks who need an assit for sit-to-stand, someone nearby or on their arm for balance, or other support for the class (details to be provided by the instructor each week). Peer Listener Program Position Overview A peer-listener volunteer reaches out and connects directly with individuals across Canada that are going through a particularly challenging time with arthritis. This program provides an opportunity for individuals connecting to the Arthritis Line to then connect one-on-one with someone living with a similar arthritis experience. We rely on volunteers to help get food onto the tables of those in Halifax who are unable to prepare nutritious meals for themselves.Do you have 2-3 hours per week to help us in our mission? We are looking for drivers and runners on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday mornings for deliveries. Choose a weekly route, or substitute on an on call basis.You can even try us on by accompanying an experienced team on a run before you start.

As a MARS volunteer you may be asked to support MARS’ marine animal response operations under the direction of a MARS Responder in response to incidents in the Maritime Provinces. Since the work that MARS does can vary, volunteers may be asked to assist response for incidents involving dead or distressed cetaceans (whales, dolphins and porpoises), seals, sharks and other large marine wildlife. Occasionally, there are also opportunities to help in other ways, such as with public outreach. These opportunities will be communicated in advance.Anyone 18+ in the Maritime provinces can volunteer with MARS – no experience or prior training is required.
