Volunteers 2 Uganda is a Registered Company and Non Government Organisation in Uganda that offers both Educational Tourism activities and Volunteer programs in Uganda.
With over 10 years of experience, We have handled over 5000 volunteers and placed them in meaning full volunteer projects which include Child Care, Teaching, Special Needs, Sports education, Women Empowerment and HIV / AIDS Support.

Welcome Housing & Support Services is a non-profit, charitable organization that provides long term, secure housing and support to low income, single individuals. Formerly known as Metro Non-Profit Housing Association, we have a long-standing and recognized commitment to the community we serve.
Not only do we support men and women obtain and maintain stable housing solutions, we also serve as advocates for social issues effecting our community (including safe, affordable housing and poverty-related issues).
Wellness Wags Assistance Dogs is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities through expertly trained service dogs. Our mission is to provide life-changing assistance dogs free of charge to Nova Scotians, empowering independence, safety, and emotional well-being.
We offer:
- autism service dogs for children
- mobility service dogs for individuals with physical disabilities
- facility dogs that support vulnerable communities in hospitals, courts, and other public service settings
Through our programs, we strive to create inclusive communities, educate the public about the role of service dogs, and foster meaningful connections between people and dogs that enrich lives for both.
Wellness Wags relies on the dedication of volunteers and the support of our community to raise, train, and place these remarkable dogs.
The Westend Community Food Bank is a volunteer operated food bank. We are located on 3495 McAlpine Street, in the neighbourhood between the Fairview Cemetery and the West End Mall in Halifax. We are open on Thursday mornings from 8:30 until noon and have between 70 and 90 clients who we distribute food to each week.
