TeamUP Science is excited to bring you an all-new virtual event series for junior high students! The Canada CyberSTEAM Challenge (C3) is a series of six 48-hour challenges that students in grades 6-9 located anywhere in Canada can complete alone or with a partner in the comfort of their own homes. C3 aims to provide youth from rural or underprivileged communities with academic enrichment opportunities that they would not otherwise have access to. The Canadian Association for Girls In Science (CAGIS) is Canada’s largest and longest-running STEM club for girls, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming youth aged 7-16. This award-winning club, founded in 1992, supports interest in Science, Technology, Trades, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) with virtual programming and local clubs that visit labs, workshops, and field sites to meet mentors and do fun, hands-on activities.
Our organization is a United Nations award-winning charity and our mission is to turn young people from 'educated' to 'educator.'
We take the talents of young people and turn them into one-on-one tutors for other adults and seniors in their communities. For example, imagine a 15 year old teaching a 50 year old how to use Zoom to communicate with their family in another country, or a 16 year old teaching an adult who is new to Canada some basic English skills.
The Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts is a Canadian performing arts school in Halifax, Nova Scotia, that offers courses in higher education in music, dance, and theatre. It is the largest and the oldest of such organizations for education in the performing arts east of Montreal.
