Pathways to Education Spryfield reduces poverty and its effects by lowering the dropout rate among high school students from economically disadvantaged communities. Pathways works to increase high school graduation rates and help youth pursue post-secondary education and/or find meaningful employment.

Frontier College is a non-profit "charity" (not your typical college). We provide FREE tutoring to UNDER-SERVED children, youth and adults in reading, writing, numeracy, homework, and English language skills.
In Halifax, every year we train 150 "volunteer tutors" who tutor the learners in community centres, schools and libraries. We have been in Nova Scotia for over 100 years.
Our tutors can choose from a variety of different volunteer opportunities. It is fun and rewarding, and addresses a growing need in our community.

We are an elementary school serving the children and their families of Dartmouth North. We are offering free lunch once a month for the children. We need more help. We are looking for 3 volunteers to help make sandwiches and cut up fruit and vegetables for approximately 210 children.

The Start2Finish Running & Reading Club is an innovative after-school program that effectively addresses the need for enhanced physical activity, literacy, and mentorship. The program targets elementary school aged children, grades 1-6, operating directly within schools once per week for 2 hours, from October to May.
