We are a non-profit that produces Comedy Festivals across Canada and we planning to add an East Coast Comedy Festival to our other 2 Festivals in Ottawa and the Arctic
Founded in 1918, the CNIB Foundation is a non-profit organization driven to change what it is to be blind today. We deliver innovative programs and powerful advocacy that empower people impacted by blindness to live their dreams and tear down barriers to inclusion. Our work as a blind foundation is powered by a network of volunteers, donors and partners from coast to coast to coast.

Our Network
The Canadian Red Cross Society is part of the largest humanitarian network in the world, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. This network includes the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (Federation) and 192 National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies dedicated to improving the situation of the most vulnerable throughout the world.
We work together in community to build informed and caring gambling practices. We are NOT anti-gambling. We raise awareness of the risks and harms gambling can cause in local communities not only for individuals, but also for communities as a whole and seek to minimize these harms. Currently we are focusing on Youth Gambling issues, raising awareness though interactive video and workshops, researching the impact of online sports betting on youth, and gathering stories from across the province to illustrate how gambling harms affect us all, particularly youth.
We serve the whole province and meet virtually so all Nova Scotians are able to participate.
GLOCAL is a not-for-profit organization that promotes digital civic engagement through local participation and global understanding in Canada. We seek to promote digital citizenship, youth engagement, information accessibility and civic knowledge mobilization in Canada. Our digital initiatives and community outreach strive to improve the infrastructure and accessibility of public information in an effort to combat misinformation, information overload, and low-information rationality in the digital age.
At Girl Guides of Canada, girls from 5-17 meet with girls their own age in a safe, inclusive space to discover themselves, have fun, make friends and develop life skills. THE DARTMOUTH MAKERS ARE A NON-PROFIT, VOLUNTEER-DRIVEN SOCIETY OF ARTISTS AND CRAFTS PEOPLE. OUR VISION IS TO CREATE A VIBRANT DOWNTOWN DARTMOUTH ARTS COMMUNITY BY CREATING OPPORTUNITIES TO SHOWCASE QUALITY WORK AND PROMOTE LOCAL TALENTS. ORIGINALLY FOUNDED IN 2014, OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE AFFORDABLE CRAFT SHOWS WHERE ARTISTS, CRAFTERS AND MAKERS CAN MARKET AND SELL THEIR WORK.
Kids Help Phone is Canada’s only 24/7 e-mental health service offering free, confidential support to young people in English and French.
The challenges facing young people in Canada have grown more complex, and youth need access to the supports that are most relevant to them. To achieve our vision, it’s critical that we meet these challenges — and quickly.
Kids Help Phone has been accredited since 2013 by Imagine Canada’s Standards Program for excellence in the charitable sector in five key areas:
- financial accountability and transparency
- fundraising
- staff management
- volunteer involvement
- board governance
Kids Help Phone has a pioneering history of creating innovative supports for critical issues young people face. We began in 1989 as a unique telephone counselling service, launched to provide free, accessible support to any young person reaching out from coast to coast to coast.
Our focus was supporting young people experiencing abuse, but almost immediately, young people let us know they needed more from the service than one focus and one way to reach us.
For over 30 years, we’ve evolved our response and offerings. We concentrate on staying relevant to youth, recognizing the complexity of issues they face, and we help to ensure our professional counsellors and volunteer crisis responders are ready to address young people’s continuum of emotional and mental health needs, from crisis situations to the everyday concerns of growing up.
Nova Multifest Society is a local, non-profit organization created to promote cultural organizations throughout the province and bring communities together by supporting diversity, inclusion, tolerance and positivity.
Every summer, we host a multicultural festival, Nova Multifest, to celebrate Nova Scotia’s rich tapestry of culture and diversity. The festival features live music and dance performances, craft exhibits, activities and delicious cuisine from around the world.
Take a Pain Check Foundation is a Canadian registered, international youth-led community and non-profit organization founded in self-advocacy to empower youth with rheumatic diseases. They host bi-weekly podcasts, run ambassador programs for health professionals and youth, pilot rheumatic-related events, feature stories on their blog platform and lead monthly Joint Chat Rheum hangouts.
Our Mission: Take a Pain Check’s aims to empower youth and young adults impacted by rheumatic disease to advocate for themselves and to create a supportive, safe, and inclusive community where individuals feel understood.
Our Vision: Through this youth led initiative our vision is that all youth and young adults feel supported in their journey with rheumatic illness.
