The CUSP Program serves youth between the ages of 12-18 in the community through skill-building workshops, volunteering events, and free valuable training (e.g., First-Aid, and Babysitting Training). Mentors are adults (+18) who serve as living examples of the skills we’re trying to instill in the CUSP Program participants. They’ll be encouraging, guiding, and inspiring youth. Mentors are onboarded during the early weeks of the cohorts and stay from beginning to completion. They’ll attend the CUSP Program weekly, choosing shifts in accordance with availability, as well as attend volunteering events.
The SICC Mobile Toy Library is a community-led initiative bringing educational toys and learning resources directly to Halifax families through vibrant pop-up events. We are growing and looking for passionate volunteers! Join us to help organize local pop-ups, facilitate community toy swaps, lead creative cardboard castle building workshops, and breathe new life into items at our toy repair stations. By getting involved today, you will help lay the groundwork for our ultimate goal: launching a mobile toy library in Halifax. We need volunteers to fill various roles. In particular, we are looking for a driver who can help pick up toys and deliver them to and from Clayton Park and Spryfield once a month.**Starting from Oct 10, we shall run a toy library event on every second Saturday afternoon (4pm-5pm) at Captain William Spry Community Centre.**Volunteer Application Form:https://tally.so/r/Ek8P54
