Halifax Design Week

Halifax Design Week is a free, citywide design festival happening across Halifax from November 13 to 15, 2026. This is our first year, and we need 10 volunteers to help us get everything ready before opening night.Shift: Friday, November 13, 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM (setup, before the event opens).No experience needed. You'll be placed where help is needed most, which may include:- Setting up tables, chairs and exhibition displays- Helping exhibitors move materials and prepare their spaces- Putting up posters and directional signs- Testing lights, sound and projectors with venue staff- Preparing the tea, coffee and pastry stationYou'll be on your feet, working with a friendly team. We need 15 volunteers for the morning shift.Shift: Saturday, November 14, 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM.No experience needed. You'll be placed where help is needed most, which may include:- Setting up rooms before doors open- Welcoming visitors and helping them find their next activity, seats and accessible routes- Supporting the morning panels and exhibitions- Serving refreshmentsYou'll be on your feet, working with a friendly team. We need 20 volunteers on Sunday, November 15.Shift: Sunday, November 15, 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM (one shift covering the full day). Location: Room Sammy Ho, 2nd floor.No experience needed. You'll be placed where help is needed most, which may include:- Setting up the room and checking lights, sound and projection- Welcoming visitors and helping them find their way- Supporting the showcase exhibition- Helping tidy and reset the space at the end of the eventYou'll be on your feet, working with a friendly team.
