Spring Garden Road Public Library

The Spring Garden Road Library is located in the heart of the city, close to business, government, post-secondary institutions, health care facilities, and academic libraries. Opened in 1951, the library building and adjacent Grafton Park are a popular community gathering area. The Spring Garden Road Library, at 38,000 square feet, and with a collection of over 280,000 titles, is the largest branch in the region. It houses specialized collections serving the entire library system, including an extensive Reference collection. A full range of programs for adults and children are offered throughout the year. Also found in the branch are computers equipped with Internet access, e-mail, a scanner, a variety of office and children’s software and magazine and newspaper databases.
