Join the EKKO Performing Arts Society Board: Empower the Next Generation of Music and Arts Education! EKKO’s mission is to provide high-quality music education to diverse communities, empower students with the skills and confidence to express themselves through music. As we continue to grow, we are looking to expand our team of dedicated board members who are passionate about music, education, and making a positive impact in the community. About EKKO Performing Arts Society: EKKO is a vibrant non-profit organization dedicated to creating an inclusive and accessible space for music education. Through innovative programs and partnerships, we strive to provide opportunities for youth to engage with music, build creative skills, and develop lifelong confidence. Our work brings together a community of educators, students, and supporters to cultivate a love of music and creativity in the heart of our local and global communities. What We're Looking For: EKKO seeks individuals who are committed to our mission and who bring diverse skills, perspectives, and experiences to the table. We are currently seeking new members for our Board of Directors with expertise in the following key areas: Finance/Accounting: Professionals with a strong understanding of nonprofit financial management, budgeting, and financial oversight. Communications, marketing, and fundraising: Individuals willing to help with securing grants, donor relations, leading fundraising campaigns to support our programs and growth and spreading the word about our programs and services. Performing Arts Professionals: Individuals with a background in music, theater, or other performing arts who are passionate about arts education and fostering creative talent. Human Resources: Experienced HR professionals who can guide best practices to ensure EKKO continues to attract and retain dedicated staff and volunteers. Ideal Candidates: Passion for Music & Education: A strong belief in the transformative power of music and arts education. Diverse Expertise: We want to build a board to serve everyone in our community. We are seeking those with a willingness to collaborate and contribute to the overall success of the organization. Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion: A dedication to fostering an inclusive environment that serves a broad range of students with diverse abilities, experiences, and cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Community Focus: A desire to support local and global communities and create opportunities for underserved populations. Board Member Responsibilities: Attend monthly board meetings (virtual or in-person). Provide guidance on EKKO’s direction and goals. Support fundraising and community outreach efforts. Assist in expanding our network of partners, donors, and stakeholders. Actively participate in committees or subgroups related to specific areas of need (e.g., fundraising, program development, outreach, HR, etc.). Why Join the EKKO Performing Arts Society Board?
