2023 MS Bike- Annapolis Valley Day of Event Volunteer

Description: The 2023 MS Bike- Annapolis Valley is taking place Saturday and Sunday, August 5 & 6, 2023. The ride begins and ends at Acadia University in Wolfville. MS Bike is the largest fundraising cycling series in North America. Cyclists of all ages and fitness levels across Canada come together each year to end Canada’s disease: multiple sclerosis.  With hundreds of participants, volunteers are needed to help with every aspect of the entire event. This is a great opportunity to make an impact in your community using your talent and time. There are various areas where volunteer help is needed to ensure that this event runs smoothly and participants have a great experience while they are walking to raise critical funds to support those effected by MS. Description: Help with set-up and/or tear-down at the festival site. Great for team-oriented workers! Must be able to lift 30 lbs comfortably and be able to walk for at least 20 minutes on flat ground. If you are looking for a quick way to earn volunteer hours, please apply! Only required to be onsite for 1-2 hours daily to gain up to 8 hours of volunteer time! Stay on-site and enjoy watching the performances while helping fundraise and providing direction to those who ask!

Climate Futures Lab - Climate Action Catalyst

Description: Volunteer Position: “Climate Action Catalyst” Do you want to learn and get inspired as you build skills, expand your network and create real change? Join the climate action movement with Youth Challenge International (YCI)! Through YCl’s Climate Futures Lab program, young people aged 16-24 in Halifax collaborate in local teams and engage with municipal partners to tackle climate issues and design community-based projects to make an impact. Climate Action Catalyst volunteers receive training, mentorship, grant funding and resources to design and implement a climate action project in their communities while gaining resume-building skills and experience along the way.
