Opportunity Description:

The Volunteer Rep. serves as a crucial link between volunteers and the Board.   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   You report to the President and Vice-president. Advocacy and Representation- You represent the interests, concerns, and perspectives of our volunteers in board meetings. You advocate for the needs of volunteers and ensure their contributions are recognized and appreciated. Operational support- You take charge of recruiting, orientation, appreciation meetings, and assigning volunteers to appropriate roles or tasks within Latispánica. You along with the President and Vice-President organize volunteer activities and maintain up-to-date volunteer records. You provide volunteers with the confidentiality agreement and the volunteer policy, answer any questions, and keep a record of the signed forms. You lead teams of volunteers for large-scale actions and events. Team player- You provide feedback regarding event success and improvement. You promote motivation within the Board. Communication and Support- You maintain regular communication with volunteers. You provide ongoing support and guidance, ensuring volunteers are well-informed and equipped with the necessary resources to fulfill their roles. Feedback and Improvement- You collect and present feedback from volunteers to the board. You work collaboratively to implement improvements in volunteer experiences and programs based on this feedback.   QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS A one-year commitment to the role is required. Hours of volunteer work averages 8 hours a week. Experience collaborating with volunteers and volunteer groups is an asset. Bilingual- Proficiency in English and Spanish is required. Discretion- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information. Ability to create a welcoming and engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging for people from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Strong communication and organizational skills.
