Opportunity Description:

This year’s Winter Market runs from Friday, Nov 26th (5pm-9pm) and Saturday, Nov 27th (9am-5pm) at Christ Church Parish, 61 Dundas Street, in lovely downtown Dartmouth. Volunteer times are split into three “shifts” looking for 4 people for each shift: 1. Friday pm (4:45pm-9pm) 2. Saturday am (8:45am-1pm) 3. Saturday pm (12:45pm – 5pm) There’s a 15 minute buffer worked into the beginning of each shift so you can meet the Market Manager and other volunteers and figure out which floor you’ll be on. You’re welcome to take on more than one shift if you’d like. The biggest part of this is greeting folks as they enter and keeping a tally of how many people enter. Every now and then, you may be asked to wander around and check if Makers need a quick bathroom break, pop your head into the washroom to check if the garbage bag needs replacing or paper towel has run out, etc… As 2023 continues to present challenges, we’ve had to adapt in order to be able to run the show safely. We always want to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable. 🙂 FREE FOOD We try our best to have enough volunteers for each shift so that everyone can take a meal break (provided by Honey & Butter) so if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate! If you’d rather bring a snack from home, that’s totally fine as well!
