Opportunity Description:

CIAD is seeking individuals and families who are interested in raising (or puppy-sitting) a potential service dog.  The puppies are placed with the puppy raising family/individual at 8-10 weeks of age and remain until they move on to advanced training.  There is no cost to the puppy raisers as food, vet care and grooming are covered by CIAD.  Raisers meet with CIAD’s dog trainer individually and in a group-class setting and have homework to complete each week with their pup. Puppy sitters provide short-term care for CIAD puppies in training for respite, vacation coverage, or other times when a puppy raiser requires some assistance.
