Opportunity Description:

Join us in getting your hands dirty for the environment on Saturday, October 4th at 10am. We’ll be planting over 400 native trees and shrubs in Birches Park in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. These trees will help to stabilize the banks of the watercourse, provide shade and shelter for wildlife and filter storm water and run-off. This event is a collaboration between Evergreen and The Clean foundation, and is part of Canon Canada’s campaign to plant 21,000 trees across Canada, coast to coast. Saturday, October 4 10am–noon In case of rain, the event will take place on Sunday, October 5. Please dress in weather-appropriate clothing, sturdy footwear (closed-toe) and bring a water bottle. Evergreen will provide a planting demonstration, gloves, tools and refreshments. Birches Park is located at the corner of Portland Estates Blvd and Portland Hills Drive.
