Opportunity Description:

Do you love walking or running?  Do you love dogs?  The Elderdog Canada Halifax PAWD is currently in need of volunteers for its In-Home Support program.  This program provides free assistance with basic dog care for seniors living in the HRM.    Our volunteers typically walk dogs but some also provide help with feeding, giving medications or transporting dogs to vet/grooming appointments.  We help seniors maintain their important bond with their dog, when caring for that dog becomes a challenge.  Our volunteers are expected to commit to at least one hour per week on a regular basis.  New volunteers must complete an application (found on the Elderdog Canada website) and a vulnerable persons sector check.   For more information, please email elderdog.halifaxpawd1@gmail.com
