Cole Harbour Parks and Trails Association (Treasurer on the CHPTA Board of Directors)

The Treasurer of the Cole Harbour Parks & Trails Association ensures that the CHPTA, in meeting its mandate, conducts all its fiscal operations in accordance with legislation and regulations governing charitable organizations. A volunteer with a professional accounting background or an equivalent combination of experience and training is needed for at least a two-year term position. Duties include: oversee the financial administration of the organization: Maintain proper records, ensure proper invoicing and payments and receipt of funds; prepare financial reports that maintain our status as a charitable organization, and keep the membership and the Board of Directors informed. These include reports to monthly Board meetings, General Meetings (at least one per year) and to various government and other funding agencies Participate as an officer of the Board in the functions of the CHPTA (attending monthly board meetings, provide financial advice to all aspects of our work), work with Board members on the financial aspects of administrative, capital and maintenance operations Liaise with government departments at all levels and commercial entities that conduct business with the CHPTA.
