Vision Quest, the FBC’s premier educational series, is coming to the Hotel Halifax on Saturday, September 14, 2019 with a full-day symposium for people living with blinding eye diseases.
This event will feature a presentation from Dr. Jane Green, Honourary Research Professor, Discipline of Genetics, Memorial University and Officer of the Order of Canada, about her important work in tracking genetic eye diseases in the Maritimes. There will also be presentations on combating stigma, local research projects in Halifax and clinical trials
WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE SYMPOSIUM:
– Lunch is on us – a free and healthy personal boxed lunch for everyone.
– Attendees will make new connections and get support from other people in the community who “know what you’re going through”.
– Exhibitors will be showcasing the latest technologies and low-vision aids as well as community services for people affected by vision loss.
