Opportunity Description:

VON Greater Halifax Position Description: We are looking for friendly individuals who would like to volunteer their time to our Adult Day Program for seniors facing social-isolation or those living with memory or functional difficulties, whose caregivers need a break. Volunteers assist the coordinator with client activities (games, music, crafts etc), meal preparation and clean up, room set up, and provide one to one socialization with clients and general program participation. Skills, Experience and Requirements: The ideal candidate would be personable, caring and helpful, while motivated to make a difference in their community and in the lives of others. Weekly commitment is required.
