Opportunity Description:

The Hospitality Host provides direction on processes and procedures to volunteers participating on Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia’s Spryfield build project. Time Commitment: Suggested one shift per build week: 8am-4pm Tuesday – Saturday Job Duration: Build project will be July to December. You do not need to commit to the entire project. Location: Drysdale Road, Spryfield Nova Scotia All safety gear and tools will be provided. Position Duties: Assist volunteer participants with sign in/sign out procedures on build site Present each volunteer participant with official HFHNS t-shirt Assure each volunteer participant has the correct personal protective equipment Aid in organizing and keeping the build site office clean and free of debris Set out snacks and lunches for all volunteer participants Take photos of volunteers participating on the build Assist on the build if needed Other duties as required Qualifications and Skills: Understanding of the Habitat for Humanity philosophy and the desire to promote it Excellent organizational skills Ability to work with a team or independently Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with HFHNS staff members and volunteers Detail oriented Friendly and outgoing No build experience necessary
