Opportunity Description:

Latispánica is a non-profit organization based registered in 2012.  It is a cultural association organized by a group of dedicated volunteer members who share the mission and vision of Latispánica. Our mission is the promotion of the Hispanic culture, the celebration of diversity and integration in Halifax. Our officer-members enjoy a casual work environment, opportunities for development and a real opportunity to make a difference.   Administrative Assistant – Secretary, FROM HOME, Attend evening Meetings (monthly), Part time, Volunteer Experience, (No pay)   In collaboration with Board of Directors, the Secretary will assume the duty of clerical and administrative support in order to optimize workflow procedures in the organization. You will assist members and officers by supporting them with planning and distributing information. You will be the point of reference for all queries, requests or issues and will be an integral part of the organization’s workforce. Key responsibilities include: Answering emails and phone and redirect them when necessary. Managing the monthly agenda and arrange new meetings and rentals. Preparing and disseminating correspondence, memos, minutes and forms. File and update contact information of members, dancers, suppliers and external partners. Research, Support and facilitate the completion of regular reports.
