Position of: Treasurer Position Summary: The Treasurer is responsible to keep full and accurate accounts of the assets, liabilities, receipts and disbursements of the Association in the books belonging to the Association. Responsibilities Attend Board of Director meetings Keep full and accurate accounts of the assets, liabilities, receipts and disbursements of the Association in the books belonging to the Association Deposit all monies, securities and other valuable effects in the name and to the credit of the Association in an approved chartered bank or trust company Provide financial report updates at all Board meetings Present the proposed budget, previously approved by the Board of Directors to the active membership at the Annual General Meeting for approval Ensure annual financial review of the Association’s books are conducted for the Annual General meeting Produce financial annual report to the Secretary for year-end reporting Participate in making recommendations to the Board for any changes in the Policy & Procedure Manual or Regulations and By-Laws regarding the duties of the Treasurer Skills & Abilities: Must be an active member of the Association in good standing Bookkeeping experience required; financial designation is preferred Organized and strong attention to detail Familiar with Excel and Word Ability to be self motivated and work with minimum supervision Effective time management skills Term of Office: One (1) Year Term To apply, please send a resume and letter of interest to: president@vmpns.com
