Opportunity Description:

The Nova Scotia Aphasia Association is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization. Our membership and board is comprised of a group of dedicated volunteers that work to fulfill our mission and vision within the communities of Nova Scotia. It is the position of the treasurer to maintain records of all transactions, create annual and committee budgets in consultation with the board and committees, to keep up to date banking information and to relay this information to the members and to submit our fiscal year end financial reports to the Register of Joint Stock Companies. We are looking for an individual who can uphold the mission and vision of our association. The expected commitment is 2 years with 1-3 hours of work a week on a regular basis. You must also be available for meetings and lead the financial committee. If you are interested in the position please provide us with a short bio and speak to why you are interested in helping the organization. Please also include a resume if applicable.
