The Halifax Tool Library Society (Tool Fixer Position Opportunity)

• Appropriate for youth (i.e., less than 18)

We’re looking for inquisitive and energetic volunteers to help us maintain and repair our tool and equipment inventory. Our inventory and workshop consists of more than 2,000 tools, both electric and non-powered hand tools. Experience with electrical components and electronics systems an asset. Individuals with a strong desire to learn about how things work are encouraged, the technical aspects we can mentor you in. There’s always stuff to assess, repair or retire (to the farm) for these volunteers.  The joy of taking things apart and in some cases putting them back together, fixed and ready to use, is what we offer in this important key volunteer position.
