Volunteer Social Media Manager Position Responsibilities of This Role: Take the lead on social media marketing and promotional content for Nova Multifest 2022. This includes creating and implementing a social media marketing plan by regularly posting engaging content on our social media platforms to raise awareness about Nova Multifest 2022 and build our organization’s online presence. Promptly respond to public inquiries and comments on our social pages and respond to direct messages. Have regular check-ins with the Nova Multifest team and attend some online meetings. Analyze user engagement and effectiveness of campaigns and tailor strategies as needed. Update website as required. Skills Required: Experience with and understanding of marketing and promotion on social media platforms from either education, work experience or previous volunteer roles. Self-motivated and enjoy taking initiative, excellent communication skills, understanding of confidentiality, leadership skills and team player. Time Commitment and duration: 5 hours monthly until June 1, 2022; and then 5 hours a week starting June 1, 2022 until July 24, 2022. About Us: Nova Multifest Society is a local non-profit organization, created to bring communities together by supporting diversity, inclusion, tolerance and positivity. Every summer, we host Nova Multifest, a lively multicultural festival to celebrate Nova Scotia’s rich tapestry of culture and diversity. The festival features live music and dance performances, art exhibits, delicious cuisine from around the world, and more, all at the beautiful location of Alderney Landing in Dartmouth. this summer it will be virtual in compliance with Nova Scotia public health restrictions.
