Did you know that Eating Disorders are the 3rd most common mental illness? Many people are unaware that these illnesses are common, serious, and treatable. Eating Disorders Awareness Week is Feb 1-7 each year in Canada. A coalition of community based organizations work together to raise awareness of these illnesses through events, education and media campaigns. Eating Disorders NS is the lead for our province. If you love event planning, communications, and organizing, and are passionate about eating disorders, we want to hear from you! Contact Shaleen@eatingdisordersns.ca for more information. Our committee will be meeting bi-weekly, starting in October.  (with an extra meetings in January.) Meeting may be in person or via zoom. We anticipate committee members will spend 1-2 hours per week outside of meetings.
