Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia (Pride Parade Volunteers)

The Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia is looking for enthusiastic, reliable volunteers to help promote the Alzheimer Duck Derby by participating in community parades this summer. Responsibilities/Opportunities: Increase awareness of the Duck Derby event by relaying key messages and passing out promotional materials to the public during the parades (Alzheimer Society staff will provide materials and an overview of the event) Participate and be involved in the Pride Parade parade Learn more about how the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia supports Nova Scotians living with dementia Must be able to walk 5km Volunteer is responsible for finding their own way to parade location and back Volunteer must sign waiver in advance of the parade (waiver will be provided by Alzheimer Society staff) If you have any questions about the volunteer position, please call 902 422-7961 or email michele.charlton@asns.ca
