Presented in schools throughout HRM, Keeping Kids Safe in a Cyber World uses 6 one-hour sessions packed with fun interactive learning and informational videos to empower children to safely and effectively manage their online activities. Volunteers will be trained to facilitate this program in grade 4 classrooms. Topics include learning how the internet and technology operate, identity protection online, online etiquette, commonly understood acronyms used on the net, risks inherent in using cyber technology, mental health and self-care as it applies to navigating the net, and extensive guidance around cyber bullying.
