IWK Auxiliary (Kermesse Flea Market – Mover and Tables Set Up / Take Down Volunteer)

Are You Strong?  Will you, your family members, or your sports team help us set up / take down Kermesse Flea Market over Friday, May 25th – Saturday, May 26th, 2018?  The IWK Auxiliary is appealing to the community to volunteer to set up and take down Kermesse Flea Market tables / donated items this year! We need around 20 strong volunteers to commit now, so that we know Kermesse Flea Market can take place as usual. Please e-mail Kermesse Coordinator andrea.reynolds@iwk.nshealth.ca and commit yourself, your spouse, your strong teenage son or daughter – or even your sports team to help out! The set up and tear down crew is crucial for Flea Market & last year’s group has retired. Please help! Volunteers needed for 5 hours work on Friday, May 25th: Ideally, we could use 4 people at the locker (tbd) to move some items to the depot (tbd, likely on Young Street, Halifax). 6-8 people needed to load our moving truck at the depot with boxes of donated items and then unload it at Gorsebrook School (South Street, Halifax). An additional 6-8 people needed to set up approximately 120 heavy wooden tables at Gorsebrook School. Volunteers needed for 4 hours work on Saturday, May 26th: 6-8 people needed to take down (fold legs & move) approximately 120 heavy wooden tables at Gorsebrook School. Other items to be removed as needed on Kermesse day.
